First Piece: Using one strand of recycled silk and one strand of Springy Capelli together and larger hook, chain loosely until chain is approximately 42" long. Double crochet in 4th ch from hook and in each ch across. Fasten off. Piece should be about 36" long.
Second Piece: Using two different color strands, one of Cotton Ribbon and one of Springy Capelli. With smaller hook, chain loosely until chain is approximately 41" long. Single Crochet in 3rd ch from hook and in each ch across. Fasten off. Piece should measure same as first strip
Third Piece: Using one strand of Ribbon and one strand of Bumble Bee and smaller hook, chain loosely until chain is approximately 41" long. Single Crochet in 3rd ch from hook and in each ch across. Fasten off. Piece should measure same as the first strip.
Finishing: Thread needle with either floss or perle cotton (you may want to double it to strengthen it). Use a piece one yard long after doubling. Lay the three peices on the table side by side. Knot the floss and stitch through all three strips at one end. Go down the strips about 1 1/2 "and make another stitch through all three strips. Pass needle in the same direction each time. Continue to stitch through all three strips every 1 1/2 " until you reach the other end. Pull the thread, gathering up the strips as you twist them until desired length, about 30". Tie a knot in the end. Strips should be bunched up enough to look full. Sew or knot the ribbon ties on the ends.
End: 04/06
